The Almond Blossom Festival is always on the last weekend in February.

LARGE UNWANTED ITEM PICK UP PROGRAM
(program replaces Spring Clean Up Program)

Sponsored by the City of Ripon 

Residents are now able to schedule a pick up of large unwanted items between the months of April through September.  You may schedule your large item pick-up one of two ways:

1.  Come in person to the Public Works Department, fill out the Large Item Pick-Up form and receive your pick up date and confirmation number; or

2. Fill out the online form - FORM PAGE
- You will be provided a confirmation number of your scheduled pick up day.
- Place your unwanted item(s) on the street in front of the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick up day, but no earlier than the day before.

D DO NOT email large item requests, they will not be processed. 

Large Unwanted Item Pick up Program Rules:

-  Each residential utility customer may schedule one pick up per year.
-  Only acceptable items (see list - click here) will be picked up.
-  Limit of 4 large items per customer.
-  Items must be placed on the street in front of the curb in a manner that does not obstruct the path of travel of vehicles and pedestrians.
-  Only items of customers with a confirmation number will be picked up.

  • Fluorescent Light Bulbs (Call HHW Facility (209) 468-3066)

Computer, TVs, CFLs, and Major Appliances Disposal
The San Joaquin County Lovelace Transfer Station offers free disposal for homeowners or business on the second Tuesday of each month.

Taste of Ripon

Date: First Thursday in December

  • 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Participants are given a wristband and wine glass
  • Participating merchants provide refreshments
